What a truly amazing experience it was to have such incredible snowfall last Wednesday in downtown Launceston. Something that most people have never experienced. My neighbour who is 75 said that he remembers similar snowfall when he was just 5. For most of us it was probably a once in a lifetime experience. I woke the family at 1.30 am and we all went out into the front yard and frolicked in the snow for an hour before jumping in the car and driving around the CBD. Everything was completely covered in soft powdery snow. Unfortunately it didn’t hang around too long and was mostly melted by late afternoon. I did have an opportunity to get my drone up before work to capture some of the snow covered neighbourhood including our house. Enjoy.
